Did
you Know?
- In the past fabricators spent many long hours
frustratingly trying to sand large areas of solid
surface with conventional one disc sanding machines.
- Trying to relieve this frustration and time
consuming process Jim Riley invented and created
a prototype of the first Surcare SMF Sander &
Micro-Finisher.
- After trials, adjustments and modifications
the results were so good it was decided to go
into production of these machines and introduce
an essential tool to the industry.
- Surcare machines were first marketed to solid
surface fabricators.
- However Surcare Sanders and Micro-Finishers
are not only capable of finishing solid surface
but were also achiving fantastic results on timber,
veneer, spray on metals, laminated surfaces, two
pack and were also great in the application of
oils, polishing and sanding between coats.
- Surcare machines rapidly became a necessary
piece of equipment in the workshop.
- It was soon realised that a smaller model was
required for on-site finishing.
- Surcare Australia produced the SMF-TETRAD a
smaller version of the SMF-200.
- The
Surcare SMF-TETRAD was a labour intensive and
expensive unit to put together so Surcare Australia
decided to produce a similar version and has now
produced the SMF-V4.
